Submitting Content to the DoD Corrosion Exchange

Relevant, accurate, and timely corrosion-related content is the hallmark of the DoD Corrosion Exchange (DoDCE), and would not be possible without the coordinated efforts of committed members serving in four key roles—the DoDCE member or content submitter, the DoDCE Support Team, the Community Leader, and the Content Editor and/or Subject Matter Expert.

Any DoDCE member may submit content to the DoDCE via the Upload Content to Site feature located on the membership side of the Web site. Once submitted, the DoDCE Support Team quickly reviews the content to ensure it is corrosion-related and not simply spam or marketing material. Next, the DoDCE Support Team routes the content to the appropriate Community Leader who may approve or disapprove the content, or possibly pass the content to a designated Content Editor or Subject Matter Expert for review.

Once reviewed and approved, the Community Leader or designated representative notifies the DoDCE Support Team, who in turn uploads the content to the appropriate location within the community taxonomy. To complete the process, the DoDCE Support Team contacts the content submitter and informs them that the content was approved and uploaded to the Web site. The DoDCE Support Team automatically uploads content that has been in the queue for more than 90 days and includes a disclaimer in the content description alerting the user that the content is for informational purposes only.

To learn more about content management on the DoDCE, visit the Web site at http://www.DoDCorrosionExchange.org, login, and select Content Management under the Help tab.
