DoD Corrosion Exchange Unveils Project Database
By Thomas Key
The Communications and Outreach Working Integrated Product Team (WIPT) and the DoD Corrosion Exchange (DoDCE) Support Team recently unveiled a new corrosion database featuring military projects, accessible through the DoDCE Web site. The new database allows principal DoD and government investigators (known as principal investigators) to submit, search, view, update, and print project information for corrosion-related projects.
The goals of the Project Database feature are to eliminate redundant efforts among the Services, promote cooperation among principal investigators, and allow them to make further progress using available funding.
Any member of the DoDCE may search, view, or print project records from the DoDCE Web site. Non-DoD or government DoDCE members may not access the database. Each project record in the database contains 10 fields similar to the Standard Form 298 (Rev. 8/98) Report Documentation Page.
To access the database, log in to the DoDCE and select either the Submit Project or Search Project sub-menu item from the Projects tab, located at the top of the DoDCE General Membership page. Principal investigators may update their existing projects information using the My Projects functionality under the My DoDCE section of the DoDCE General Membership page. Please contact the DoDCE Support Team or the Communications and Outreach WIPT if you have any questions or comments about the new feature.
